This two-color cable scarf may look difficult to knit, yet it is deceptively simple. Once the pattern is established there is no need to refer to it to knit the scarf. With a little bit of fair isle knitting and some cable stitches, this is a great learning piece or a refresher course. If you have done neither technique before, try a small sampler first. Cast on 16 stitches and practice the color change and the 8 stitch cable cross.
