Handicraft Café is the product of two obsessed knitters who simply couldn’t find a local yarn shop that they really loved. So instead of sitting around and complaining, we decided to set out on our own and create the yarn store that we always dreamed of.
Handicraft Café is built on the idea of good yarn, good ideas, and good company. We are building a store dedicated to carrying drool worthy (whatever your tastes)and environmentally friendly yarn, as well as creating a space that fosters creativity in the community around us. Since Handicraft Café is run by knitters, we not only know what knitters want to buy, but we understand the beauty of the concept that knitting allows anybody to create something out of a single piece of string. We are creating Handicraft Café so that knitters, as well as artists of all kinds, will have a place to share their craft, bounce ideas off of one another and spread the creativity, all while sipping on a hot cup of coffee.
Handicraft Café seeks to bring the fundamentals of knitting and other fiber and fabric arts to a new generation of creative and dynamic individuals. We support the local creative community by offering the supplies to create and by giving local artists a place to sell their wares, no matter what their production scale may be.
